Append to a Document

This applies to Content Central Document Management System.

Login to Content Central, as user with EDIT permission to the configured Catalog and Document Type of the document to replace.

Navigate to the document to append, in the Search Page, Folder Browser, or other areas in Content Central. 

To select a document to append:
  • Optionally, CHECK the Document Card or CHECK in The document List.

  • Optionally, click to select a document for preview.


Click the 'Actions Tab' to show the Action Panel.

In the Action Panel, click 'Append'. 
  1. Optionally, click 'DirectScan'. DirectScan Page will launch. Use DirectScan to scan documents to append to a document.


  1. Optionally, click 'Get QCard'. An 'Append QCard' will show. Print the QCard to use for 'QCard' Capture Job or Incoming Folder. 
  1. Optionally, click 'Upload'. In the 'Append by Electronic Upload' menu, click 'Choose File' to navigate to a file to append to the document. Select a PDF Action. Click 'Upload'.


After the Replace Action is complete, refresh the browser to reload the document in Content Central and show the preview of the new version of the document.
