This applies to Content Central v7 Document Management System.
The Capture Forms screen allows you to upload and manage one or more static PDF forms containing one or more fields and at least one submit button. These PDF forms can be used as templates to generate new documents in the catalog.
Go to Administration > Catalogs & Document Type > (Select a Catalog and Document Type’ > Capture Form.
When uploading a new PDF Form Template, UNCHECK Legacy option.
Use ‘Form’ Capture Type when generating a new document using a PDF-Form template. The browser being used should have a PDF Viewer plugin enabled in the browser so that there will be no issues in the submission of PDF Form document.
Login to Content Central Link (URL) -
As Admin or member of the Administrator Group.
Or, as a user or member of a group with ADD permission to the specified Catalog and Document Type.
On the Dashboard or Welcome Page, click 'Menu' icon, found at the top left portion of the Title Bar of the website, to show the Navigation Panel.
In the Menu Items, select 'Capture New', 'Form'.
TUTORIAL. Tutorial pop-up messages may show on the 1st time this page is loaded in your browser. Go through the Tutorial by clicking on NEXT.
In the "Documents from form" Page, select the
Catalog and
Document Type to add the document to, and the
Form (Template) to use.
Enter field values or document properties into the appropriate field text boxes in the Capture Fields Panel.
Click PREVIEW. The Webform Preview at the right panel will update so that appropriate parts of the Webform will be populated based on the Field Values entered in the Capture Fields Panel.
Click RESET to clear the Webform.
Click FINISH to submit the Webform. 'Submit Successful' should prompt.
A new document will be created and stored in the Folder Browser after submitting the form. When the Web Form document is accessed inside Content Central web page, the Web Form document can be modified and resubmitted to generate a new version of the Web Form document automatically with the updated field values from the Properties Panel.
