Configuring Index-Field Rules

Rules Properties

The Index-Field Rules can be reconfigured in the "Rules Properties" menu prompt.

Launch CapturePoint.

From the Menu Panel, click "Index-Field Automation"  (index briefcase) icon to go to the "Index-Field Rules" Panel. 



"Index-Field Rules" Panel, under "Classification", select the classification of the Field Rule to configure.

"Index-Field Rules" Panel, under "Document Layout", select the Document Layout of the Field Rule to configure.



Click "Properties" under the Field Rule to configure. 

The "Rules Properties" menu prompt will appear. 

Rules Properties, Name & Type

In the "Rules Properties" prompt, under "What would you like to configure", select "Name & Type". 

In the "Rules Properties, Name & Type" Prompt, the following can be configured:

Rule Name. Under "Rule Name", enter the name of the Field Rule.

Rule Type. The "Rule Type" can be "Text Extraction", "Barcode Extraction". "Preceding Document" or "Static Value". 




Rules Properties, Identification

In the "Rules Properties" prompt, under "What would you like to configure", select "Identification". 

In the "Rules Properties, Identification" Prompt, the following can be configured:

Field. Under "Field", select the Field that will be auto-populated by the Field Rule.

Page Number. Under "Page Number", select the expected Page where the Index or Field Value is expected. 

Regular Expression. The "Regular Expression Type" and "Regular Expression" specifies the expected format to be retrieved by the Field Rule. There are pre-configured regular expressions available. Select "Custom" "Regular Expression Type" to be able to enter a customized regular expression. 



Rules Properties, Date Formatting

In the "Rules Properties" prompt, under "What would you like to configure", select "Date Formatting". 

In the "Rules Properties, Date Formatting" Prompt, the following can be configured:

Format. Under "Format" are preconfigured formats for a Date Value. Select the Format of the Date Value as it is showing in the Document Layout. Select "Custom" to be able to enter a customized "Custom Mask".

Custom Mask. The "Custom Mask" should follow format of the Date Value as it is showing in the Document Layout.
