Default Capture Catalog and Document Type


This applies to Content Central Document Management System v7.0 and up.

When going to the Capture Page, the default Catalog and Document Type for a user can be configured, so that the configured 'Default Capture Catalog' and 'Default Capture Document Type' will show first in the Capture Page.

Steps to Set the Default Capture Catalog


1. Login to Content Central.

2. Click the User Icon, found at the top right portion of the Content Central Webpage. Click 'Options'.



3. In the Options Page: 
Under 'Default Capture Catalog', select your preferred Catalog.

4. Click 'Apply'.


The 'Default Capture Catalog' in Options Page, must match the Catalog in 'Default Capture Document Type' Page.



Steps to Set the Default Capture Document Type


1. Login to Content Central.

2. Click the User Icon, found at the top right portion of the Content Central Webpage. Click 'Default DocTypes'.



3. In the Assign Default Document Types for Document Capture Page:
Under 'Catalog', select your preferred Catalog. (This Catalog must match the Default Capture Catalog.)
Under 'Default DocType', select your preferred Document Type.

4. Click 'Apply'.

The 'Catalog' in 'Default Capture Document Type' Page must match the 'Default Capture Catalog' in Options Page.


Steps to Capture Document by Electronic Upload


1. Login to Content Central.

2. Click 'Menu' icon found at the top right portion of the Content Central Webpage.

3. Click 'Capture New', 'Electronic'.

4, Select an option under 'Index Fields'.

5. Under the Catalog, the Default Capture Catalog will show. (Optionally, change the Catalog.)

6. Under the Catalog, the Default DocType will show. (Optionally, change the Document Type.)

7. Enter Field Values.

8. Click 'Choose File'. Navigate to the document file to upload.

9. Click 'Upload'. A prompt will show that the document file is uploaded successfully.
