Document Type Permissions
Document Type Permission
Document Type Permissions can be configured and assigned to specific Users and Group from the ‘Permissions’ page of the configured Catalog and Document Type.
Go to Administration > Catalogs & Document Types > (Specify Catalog and Document Type) > Permissions
If TRUE, the permission for the configured catalog and document type is added to the User and Group, and the permission is applied to each user member of the Group.
Document Type Permission Types
VIEW –Users/Group can view, save or e-mail documents in the catalog and document type represented in any list of results - Folder Browser, Search Page, others.
SEARCH – Users/Group can perform searches for documents in the specified catalog and document type.
ADD – Users/Group can capture, scan or add documents to the specified catalog and document type. Users/Group can view documents in the Shared Coding Queue.
EDIT – Users/Group can: (1) check out, modify, and check-in documents, (2) append to documents, (3) replace documents in the specified catalog and document type, and/or (4) perform other edit functions or features.
FIELD EDIT – Users/Group can modify document properties or fields of documents in the specified catalog and document type.
DELETE - Users/Groups can delete documents from the specified catalog and document type.
AQ ADMIN or AP ADMIN - Users/Group can access the Admin Queue and approval-process History within the Approval Queue for the specified catalog and document type; receives Deadline Notifications in ‘Folders’ > ‘Messages; and bypass approval or rejection for any current member in the current Approval Process.
AQ ASSIGN or AP ASSIGN - Users/Group can assign documents of the specified document type to a configured Approval Process.
VIEW IN AQ or VIEW IN AP - Users/Groups can view documents only if the document is in the Approval Queue.
WQ ASSIGN - Users/Group can assign documents of the specified document type to a Work Queue.
DOCTYPE ADMIN – Users/Group can manage the document-type settings. Managing document-type membership is determined by a system setting.
SHARE – Users/Group can assign documents of the document type to the Work Queue of any new or existing user. This permissions allows users to create new guest users in the system using the Share feature when providing an e-mail address that does not already exist in the system.
