This article provides step-by-step instructions for migrating documents from Content Central to Nucleus One, including initializing the migration, monitoring progress, and verifying completion.
Starting the Migration
- Sign in to Content Central using an account with admin privileges.
- Open the navigation drawer and select Administration.
- Click the Migrate to Nucleus One button.
- Enter your generated Nucleus One API Key in the Migrate to Nucleus One page. The Destination N1 Organization will populate a list of N1 Organizations.
- Select the Destination N1 Organization.
- Set the Missing Document-File Handling. Select between Stop Migration with error or Substitute w/ a placeholder file.
- Click Apply to save your settings and initialize the migration process.
Checking Migration Progress
You have two options to monitor the migration status:
Option 1: Migration Status
Sign in to Content Central with admin privileges.
Open the navigation drawer and select Administration.
Click the Migrate to Nucleus One button.
Check the Migration Status section for real-time updates.
Option 2: Using the Event Viewer
Sign in to Content Central with admin privileges.
Open the navigation drawer and select Administration.
Select Event Viewer.
Under Action, choose Nucleus One Migration to view detailed event logs related to the migration process.
Pre Migration Best Practices
- Upgrade Content Central to the latest version.
- Reindex the Content Central database.
- Review all the Content Central users. Only user accounts with email address will be migrated to Nucleus One.
- Restart all Ademero Content Central Services, prior to initializing the migration tasks.
Other Migration Best Practices
- Ensure your N1 API key is kept secure and not shared publicly.
- If any errors occur, review the Windows Event Viewer for detailed logs and next troubleshooting steps.
- Do not make any changes in Content Central and Nucleus One during the Migration Process.
