Password Policy

In Content Central, from v7.5.8994, the user's password can be configured to follow specifications to make the password more secure based on length, complexity and/or expiration.

Login as Admin or member of the Administrator Group. 
Go to Administration > System Settings.
Under Security Settings, configure the Password Policy.


Enable Password Policy
      When CHECKED, the password policies is be enabled based on length, complexity and/or expiration. 

Password Length
      When CHECKED, the password will have to be set with the number of characters entered. 

Password Complexity
      When CHECKED, 2 characters from each categories, that are CHECKED, will be applied in creating the password. 
      Number (i.e. 0-9)
      Upper case letters (i.e. A-Z)
      Lower case letters (i.e. a-z)
      Special Characters (i.g. !@#$%^&*=_+)      

Password Expiration
      When CHECKED, the password will expire based on number of days entered. On the next time the users log in to Content Central after the date of expiration has password, the user will be prompted to update or change their password.
