This article offers a step-by-step guide to enter or update AI Extraction Guidance for a field. AI Extraction Guidance provides instructions for PAIGE to identify and extract relevant text from the processed file.


In Paige, each field belongs to a Document Type, and each Scan Job is made up of one or more Document Types. You will need to know the name of the Scan Job and Document Type for the field you want to update. The updated AI Guidance will apply to all incoming documents from this point onward.


Only Company Admins and Scan Job Administrators can update AI Extraction Guidance


Step 1 - After logging in to Paige, click the Settings (gear) icon.


Step 2 - In the sidebar, select the Scan Job if there are multiple showing. Then, select Document Types to show Your Active Document Types.
Idea
Select the Scan Job based on the Document Type and Field to update. While processing Batches and Documents from the Main Page, the Scab Job shows at the top of the Main Page .


Step 3. Under Your Active Document Types, select the document type.



Step 4 - In the Edit Document Type window, select the field you want to update from the Fields list.


Step 5 - If not already enabled, enable Index with AI. Expand Advanced Settings to show the AI Extraction Guidance


Step 6 - In the AI Extraction Guidance text area, update the AI extraction guidance.
Idea
The AI Extraction Guidance textbox can be expanded. 
Click OK to save the changes.
