Configuration Manager, SQL Settings

Login to Content Central Server as an Administrator.

Launch Configuration Manager.




Go to SQL Settings.

Server Information

For Server name\Instance, enter the SQL Server Instance to use for the Content Central Database.

For Database Name, enter the Content Central Database Name to be used for Content Central Application.

Admin Login

Click to select the Authentication Method to use to connect to the SQL Server Name\Instance.

IF Windows Integration Authentication is selected, the User Account logged in as, must have Admin Rights to the SQL Server Name\Instance and Create/Update Rights to the Content Central Database in the Server Information.

IF SQL Authentication is selected, enter Username and Password to use. The SQL User Account must have Admin Rights to the SQL Server Name\Instance and Create/Update Rights to the Content Central Database in the Server Information.

User Login

Click to select the Authentication Method to use to connect to the SQL Server Name\Instance.

IF SQL Authentication is selected, enter Username and Password to use. The SQL User Account must have Read and Write Rights to the Content Central Database in the Server Information.

Click 'Test Admin Login'.
Connection will be tested to the SQL Server Instance using the Authentication Method under Admin Login settings.
Click 'Create/Update Database'
If the Content Central does not exist, a new Database for Content Central will be created under the SQL Server Instance selected.

If the Content Central exist, connection to the database is tested. 

After connection is established, schema version of the Content Central Database is verified and matched to the Content Central version.
Click 'Test UserLogin'.
Connection will be tested to the Content Central Database using the Authentication Method under User Login settings.

If the entered SQL User Account does not exist, a prompt will show to create a new user account using the User Name and Password enter under User Login settings.
