QCard Document Descriptor


QCard Document Descriptors are used for QCard Capture Job, as a cover page or 1st page to signify the start of a document. They also serve a separators in a stack of pages.

Post-Capture Coding QCard


Destination after Capture: Coding Queue
When using a Post-Capture Coding QCard, the scanned document will be sent to the Coding Queue, assigned to a Catalog and Document Type, based on the Catalog and Document Type configured on the Capture Job used when capturing the QCard and Document Scanned Pages.
To create a Post-Capture Coding QCard:
Login to Content Central with ADD Permission to a configured Catalog and Document Type.
Click to ‘Menu’ > Capture New > QCard
Select ‘Provide Later’ under ‘Document Properties’.

Pre-Capture Coding QCard


Destination after Capture: Folder Browser, to the Catalog Folder
When using a Pre-Capture Coding QCard, the document will be sent to the Folder Browser unther the Catalog Folder. The Catalog, Document Type and Field Value are specified in the QCard.
To create a Pre-Capture Coding QCard:
Login to Content Central with ADD Permission to a configured Catalog and Document Type.
Click to ‘Menu’ > Capture New > QCard
Under ‘Document Properties’, select ‘Provide now.’
Specify the ‘Catalog’, ‘Document Type’ and Field values.

Versatile Shared QCard


After Capture Destination: Coding Queue
When using a Versatile Shared Qcard, the document is sent to the Coding Queue and will be viewable in the Coding Queue by any user with ADD permission to the Catalog and Document Type specified in the QCard.
To create a Versatile Shared QCard:
Login to Content Central with ADD Permission to a configured Catalog and Document Type.
Click to ‘Menu’ > Capture New > QCard
Under ‘Document Properties’, select ‘Provide some now, some later’
Under ‘Destination’, select ‘Shared Queue’
Optionally, specify the ‘Catalog’, ‘Document Type’ and Field Values.

Versatile User’s Queue QCard


After Capture Destination: Coding Queue
When using a Versatile Shared Qcard, the document is sent to the Coding Queue and will be viewable in the Coding Queue only by the User specified in the QCard.
To create a Versatile User’s Queue QCard:
Login to Content Central with ADD Permission to a configured Catalog and Document Type.
Click to ‘Menu’ > Capture New > QCard
Under ‘Document Properties’, select ‘Provide some now, some later’
Under ‘Destination’, select ‘Your Queue’
Optionally, specify the ‘Catalog’, ‘Document Type’ and Field Values.

Image & OCR QCard


Destination after Capture: Folder Browser, to the Catalog Folder
When using an Image & OCR QCard, the document will be sent to the Folder Browser assigned to the Catalog and Document Type specified in the QCard.
To create an Image & OCR QCard:
Login to Content Central with ADD Permission to a configured Catalog and Document Type.
Click to ‘Menu’ > Capture New > QCard
Under ‘Document Properties’, select ‘Provide only Catalog and Document Type’.
Specify the ‘Catalog’ and ‘Document Type’.

Document Type QCard


Destination after Capture: Depends on the Primary QCard.
Document Type QCard are used with a Primary QCard, so that the only the Document Type is changed after capture. Primary QCards can be ‘Post-Capture Coding QCard’, ‘Pre-Capture Coding QCard’ or ‘Versatile QCard’. The Catalog, Document Type and Field values are specified in the Primary QCard.
To create a Document Type QCard:
Login to Content Central with ADD Permission to a configured Catalog and Document Type.
Click to ‘Menu’ > Capture New > DocType Qcard
Specify the ‘Catalog’ and ‘Document Type’.

End-of-Document QCard


An End-of-Document QCard is used at the end of the stack, to signify that the end of the document is reached.

To create an End-of-Document QCard:
Login to Content Central with ADD Permission to a configured Catalog and Document Type.
When creating any QCard, click ‘Options’.
Click to CHECK ‘Include end-of-document QCard’.
An End-of-Document QCard at the end of the QCard is created.

Primary with Fixed Page Count QCard


Any Primary QCard can have a Fixed Page Count, so that the stack of scanned pages are split into documents automatically, based on the fixed page count specified in the QCard. Example, if the Fixed Page Count is 2, then the document scanned used with this QCard will be 2 pages each.

To create a Primary with Fixed Page Count QCard:
Login to Content Central with ADD Permission to a configured Catalog and Document Type.
When creating any QCard, click ‘Options’.
Click to CHECK ‘Fixed Page Count’. Enter the Fixed Page Count.
