Content Central User Basics 2

This applies to Content Central v7.

Search for Documents


1. Login to Content Central URL
  • As Admin or member of the Administrator Group.
  • Or, as a user with SEARCH permission to the configured Catalog and Document Type.
2. Click 'Menu' >'Search' > 'Power Search'.

3. In the 'Power Search' page, enter your search criteria:
  • Optionally, under 'Full Text', enter search term.
  • Optionally, CHECK on the Catalog and Document Type* to search.
  • Optionally, enter 1 or multiple 'Field Value(s)' to search.
  • Click 'GO'.
4. Momentarily, document(s) matching the search criteria will appear as 'Search Results'. Click the document card or in the list for preview.

Document Search Results are only from Catalog(s) and Document Type(s) that the user have a SEARCH Permission for,
When a search term is entered under 'Full Text', document results contains the search term within the documents itself.
When Catalog(s) and/or Document Type(s) is/are CHECKED, document results are from the Catalog and Document Type checked. only. When no Catalog or Document Type is CHECKED, document results are from ALL Catalogs and Document Types.
When any field values are entered, document results have field value(s) matching the Field Search value,



Delete Documents


1. Login to Content Central URL
  • As Admin or member of the Administrator Group.
  • Or, as a user with DELETE permission to the configured Catalog and Document Type.
2. Navigate to a document in 'Folder Browser' or 'Power Search'.

3. Check on the Document Card or in the List, or click to preview the document to delete.

4. Click on the 'Action' tab.

5. In the 'Action' Panel, select 'Delete'.
