Document Version Control Number

The document files in Content Central are stored in Document Root Folder. While only the latest revision of the document is shown in the Content Central website, each revision of the document file is stored.

A new revision of the document is created based on the document file uploaded when any of the following actions are performed by a user: Checkin, Replace, Append or any document actions that signify a major revision or a revision on the document file itself.

Additionally, in the Document Root Folder, the document file is appended with the Control Number that matches the revision number.

Example:
Purchase Order 8006_CCv0001.pdf
Purchase Order 8006_CCv0002.pdf
