Event Viewer

The Event Viewer in Content Central allows users to track actions that each user has performed while logged in to Content Central. The event log also maintains records of documents that have been captured. Access it by selecting the ‘Event Viewer’ icon from the Administrator main menu.

The following actions or events are logged in Content Central:

Append
Capture
Check In
Check Out
Delete
E-mail
Fax
Login
Logout
PreCapture
Properties Update
Replace
Rename
Search
Upload Revision
View

Steps to View Content Central Event Viewer

1. Login as ‘Admin’ or a member of a group with Administration Permission for Event Viewer.
2. From the Menu Panel, click ‘Administration’ to go to the Administration Page.
3. Click ‘Event Viewer’ icon to go to the Event Viewer Page.
4. In the Event Viewer page, filter through the following options –
a. Action
b. User by
c. From Date
d. To Date
e. View
f. Sort
5. Click ‘Apply’.
6. The resulting grid should show the event log details based on your filter.
