Steps to Capture Documents using Capture Jobs with 'Document Type QCard'
1. Optional. Share the Incoming Folder in the network.
2. Optional. Setup your network scanner to save scanned documents to the Incoming Folder.
3. Print a 'Primary QCard' and 'Document Type QCard(s)'.
Primary QCards can be: 'Post Capture QCard', 'PreCapture QCard', 'Versatile QCard'
4. Prepare your document pages.
Stack your document pages.
Place a 'Primary QCard' as the first page of the stack. The 'Primary Qcard' has Field Values.
In between the document pages, insert the 'Document Type QCard' appropriately before the page where a new document type begins. The 'Document Type QCard' do not have Field Value(s).
Do not insert any 'End-of-Document QCard' in between these document pages.
Place an 'End-of-Document QCard' at the end of the stack only.
5. Scan your document pages, with QCards, to the Incoming Folder. Momentarily, the file will disappear.
If the Primary QCard is ‘Pre-capture coding’ –
Login to Content Central as user with the permission to VIEW documents from the Catalog and Document Type in the QCard.
Go to ‘Folders Browser’.
Locate or retrieve the multiple documents in the Folders Browser.
The multiple documents will have the same Field Values based on the Primary QCard, but will be assigned to different Catalogs and Document Types depending on the Document Type QCard.
If the Primary QCard is ‘Post-capture coding’ or ‘Versatile coding’ –
Login to Content Central as user with the permission to ADD document to the Catalog and Document Type in the QCard.
Go to ‘Work Areas’ > ‘Coding Queue’.
Locate or retrieve the documents in the Coding Queue.
The multiple documents will have the same Field Values based on the Primary QCard, but will be assigned to different Catalogs and Document Types depending on the Document Type QCard.
