Enabling forgotten password; password retrieval for Content Central document management system.

This guide applies to Ademero's Content Central Document Management System. This guide is outlined using Content Central Version 7.5.6779.

Enabling this setting allows users to see and utilize the "Forgot your password" function on your Content Central log in page.
This feature must be enabled using the new user interface for Content Central introduced in Version 7.

In order to enable this feature begin by logging into an administrative account on Content Central. Once logged in navigate to the upper left hand corner of your screen and click on the Content Central menu button. This will cause your Content Central menu panel to appear. From this menu select "Administration"

Once in the administration settings list click the option that reads "System Settings"

Once in your System settings search for an option named "Login Logout Settings" and open the drop down menu by left clicking that option.
Once the menu expands click the box next to the "Allow forgotten-password handler on Login page" the box should become chekced at that time.
When you check the "Allow forgotten-password handler on Login page" box the "user question/answer challenge method" box should also become checked.

Ensure that you click "Apply" at the bottom of the System Settings page to apply these changes.

After applying these changes log out of Content Central and log back in. Upon logging in the user should see a box appear with prompts asking for the user to select secret questions and answer.

Once you have input answers for the three chosen questions click "submit" and the answers will be saved. For here on, if this user forgets their password they may use the "Forgot Password" function on the log in page.

Once the correct 3 answers are placed into the "answer" fields that coincide with your previously selected questions you should receive this dialog box.

When you close this box by selecting "close" you will be taken to the reset password page.

Your new password must be between 6 and 128 characters in length and must include at least one alphabetical character (A-Z). If your new password does not match these parameters you will receive this error message.

Keep in mind this feature does not apply for Active Directory users.
